Lily Allen has something to smile about: She’s pregnant.
The 22-year-old British pop singer and her musician-boyfriend, Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers, are expecting their first child, Allen’s spokesman, Jon Bills, announced Wednesday.
«As the pregnancy is at such an early stage, the couple will be making no further comment but they are obviously both thrilled by the news,» Bills said in a statement.
Allen’s cheeky debut album, «Alright, Still,» which includes the hit single «Smile,» was released in the United States earlier this year. Her follow-up CD will be released next year, Bills said.
Tila Tequila Finds Her Match On MTV Reality Dating Show
Tila Tequila is taking a shot at love with a dude.
2The bisexual Internet celebrity selected 25-year-old film student Bobby Banhart as the winner of «A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila,» her popular MTV reality dating show, instead of 29-year-old female firefighter Dani Campbell.
«I do love Dani, and we’ve gone through so much together,» Tequila said during Tuesday’s finale. «But I am in love with Bobby.»
Tequila — whose real last name is Nguyen — chose Banhart on a platform in the middle of the pool at the mansion where the reality show was filmed. Campbell walked away immediately following Banhart’s selection, but Tequila ran after her to hug her and say goodbye.
«I thought we had something real. I thought we had a big connection,» Campbell said. «I guess I was wrong.»
«A Shot at Love,» which featured 16 men and 16 women competing for the affection of the 26-year-old MySpace pinup, became MTV’s second most popular series, just behind «The Hills,» according to Nielsen Media Research.
Casting notices have circulated online for a second season of «A Shot at Love» and «That’s Amore!» — a new dating show starring «Shot at Love» castoff Domenico Nessi. MTV hasn’t confirmed that either is in the works, but Tequila told The Associated Press last week that MTV had approached her about taking another «Shot at Love» — although it doesn’t look like she needs to.
«I came into this hoping to find love,» Tequila said, «and I did.»
A reunion of Tequila and the contestants will air Dec. 23.

Pesci Doesn’t Have To Pay Private Eye For His Ex-Wife’s Hit Man Scandal
A private investigator has dropped a lawsuit claiming Joe Pesci owed him $103,000 for services performed after the «Goodfellas» star’s ex-wife was accused of hiring a hit man, Pesci’s lawyer said Tuesday.
John Perry dropped the fraud and breach-of-contract lawsuit on Monday, a day before a scheduled court hearing on defense motions to dismiss the case, Pesci attorney Caryn Brottman Sanders said.
«He’s happy he doesn’t have to deal with it anymore,» Sanders said of Pesci. «The legal arguments didn’t make any sense, and the factual arguments maybe even less so.»
A call by The Associated Press seeking comment from Perry’s lawyer, Paul N. Taylor, was not returned.
Pesci won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role as a psychotic gangster in 1991′s «Goodfellas.»
Perry sued Pesci on Sept. 25 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming that Pesci hired him after Pesci’s former wife, Claudia Haro, was accused of hiring someone to shoot her then-husband, Garrett Warren.
Warren was shot four times outside his California home in 2000 but survived. Haro was arrested two years ago and is awaiting trial in Los Angeles County on charges of conspiracy and attempted murder.
The Hoff Finally Reaches Financial, Custody Terms With Ex-Wife
4David Hasselhoff and ex-wife Pamela Bach have agreed on post-divorce terms that include joint custody of their teenage daughters, Hasselhoff’s attorney confirmed Tuesday.
The former «Baywatch» star and Bach were divorced in August 2006 after more than 16 years of marriage. After months of negotiating custody and financial arrangements, a deal was struck Friday, according to attorney Melvin S. Goldsman.
«I’m pleased that everything has been resolved and I’m proud of my kids, who remain strong and have exhibited dignity during this very difficult time,» Hasselhoff said in a statement released by his publicist. «We are all moving on.»
Goldsman declined to spell out the terms of the settlement concerning Bach’s request for more spousal and child support.
Improving relations between Hasselhoff, 55, and Bach, 44, led to the revised custody arrangements and his willingness to let her to stay in their San Fernando Valley home until it is sold, Goldsman said.
Under a June court order, Hasselhoff had sole custody of the couple’s daughters, Taylor, 17, and Hayley, 15.
Lawyers for Bach were not immediately available for comment and a call to her publicist was not returned.
Michael Douglas Becomes NBC’s `Nightly News’ Announcer
5Michael Douglas has a new role on TV five nights a week.
NBC chose the 63-year-old actor-producer as the announcer to introduce Brian Williams on the «Nightly News» each night. His recorded introduction was first heard Monday.
For 25 years, Howard Reig introduced the broadcast live each night, through the anchorships of John Chancellor and Tom Brokaw. Reig retired two years ago, but «Nightly News» had been using tapes of his voice ever since.
«I appealed to Michael’s sense of romance and sentimentality and his love of the industry,» Williams said Tuesday. «I called him and said, `On top of all you’ve done as an actor, producer and Academy Award winner, this will mean a small slice of immortality in our industry. It also means wherever you are on Earth, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time, you’ll know your voice is on the air.»‘
That sold him, apparently. Douglas fills a role that on CBS is handled by Walter Cronkite, whose taped voice introduces Katie Couric each night.
Douglas won a best actor Oscar for 1987′s «Wall Street.» He won a best picture Oscar for 마카오 카지노 게임 종류 1975′s «One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.»
The Hulk Will Be Honored During Mardi Gras Parade
Hulk Hogan will reign as celebrity king when the annual Bacchus parade rolls through New Orleans on Feb. 3, two days before Mardi Gras.
Each year the Krewe of Bacchus’ king visits Children’s Hospital to meet the patients. In a statement released Tuesday by Bacchus officials, the celebrity wrestler said one reason he accepted the offer was Bacchus’ relationship with the hospital.
«Hulk is also excited about being a part of Mardi Gras 2008 when New Orleans will show the world that our city is rebounding from the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina,» said Owen «Pip» Brennan, captain of the Krewe of Bacchus.
«But I think that the chance to visit Children’s Hospital is what clinched the deal when we asked him to serve as Bacchus XL,» Brennan said.
Hogan, 54, has autographed 1,000 copies of a special lithograph designed by artist Michael Hunt. Profits will be donated to the hospital.
James Gandolfini, star of the hit HBO series «The Sopranos,» was Bacchus’ celebrity monarch last year.
Hogan and Laila Ali will co-host NBC’s «American Gladiators,» a revival of the ’90s competition series. The new edition debuts Jan. 6.
